My Week through Instagram Vol. 2

I have failed at updating this week. I had a prety busy weekend and haven't really spent any time on my computer (aside from at work) in order to post pictures and make an actual update. For now this will have to do.

Last Friday we had a baked goods day at work in honor of one of my co-workers birthdays. Oreo truffles? Yes please.

We also destroyed decorated her cubicle in honor of her birthday.

Sweet note from the boy before we spent the long weekend apart.

My heaven and happy place... my aunt's backyard & home for the holiday weekend!

Perfection <3 I want to go back!

I came into work yesterday and there was a surprise on my desk! Thanks to an engineer upstairs :)

We lit our tiki torches for our house this week!!!

This morning I woke up to sticky buns in my kitchen. E got up and made them for me and my roommate as a surprise! He's the best!

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Confessional Friday

Today I'm linking up with Leslie over at A Blonde Ambition for Confessional Friday!

1. I confess that I may have squealed this morning when checking my bank account. Hello, payday Friday's. You are ever so sweet.

2. Last night I was about to go out for a run and while going to grab some shorts and sneakers, I received a text with an invitation to go drink with some friends. No calories got burned, and extra were taken in. Oops.

3. I'm spending the weekend at my aunt's house with some family for the long holiday weekend instead of at home with my parents because she has a pool. And a jacuzzi. And a fire pit. AND 3 beer taps in her kitchen. #sorrynotsorry

4. I'm excited for that first night Eric goes back home for the summer and I get my BIG 'ol bed ALL to myself. That is really mean. But, I just want to sprawl out and sleep in the middle of the bed for once ya'll!

5. I have been meaning to return something for a few weeks now. The box did not fit in the UPS Drop Box so it's just been sitting in my room begging me to get it out of there.

6. I spent $13 on a drink at the Lady A concert last weekend just because I wanted that plastic tall guitar cup. And then I left it there.

Have a great memorial day weekend everyone!!! Be safe loves!
We just punched out and it's paycheck Friday!  The weekend's here, good God almighty! Let's get drunk and be somebody!

New apartment bedroom Reveal!

I moved into my new college house/apartment this past weekend! We have named it 'The Palace' last year when we signed our lease. I lived in an apartment complex before so having a physical house with a porch and place to sit outside with grass and plants is SUCH a beautiful thing!

I'm going to reveal my bedroom and the outside of the house today. My room and the whole house are still in the works so bear with me! I still need to organize more, buy new things and continue to decorate. But, for now here is what I've done with my room!

The outside of my house! (Ignore the roommate and boyfriend) It is really nice compared to a ton of the other houses in my college town. It is hard to see but we have put some tiki torches outa and have actual plants! We're going to invest in flowers and hanging baskets soon! :]

Tv Area/ Getting ready

My new, first BIG girl bed! I absolutely LOVE it. I can't get the wrinkles out of my comforter though and it's driving me nuts. The dryer did not work! Ideas??

"I slept in castles and fell in love because I was taught to dream"
(I need to fix the 'slept' because it looks funny)

Bay window that I'm OBSESSED with. I still need curtains (can't find any I like!) and to organize this area (Notice the fan, boxes and frames that have yet to be hung)

I really would like to add a mini gallery wall and organize my closet a lot more. Unfortunately it is smaller than my last one, but it has 2 poles to hang clothes on which is nice. And, that's it! I hope you have enjoyed a look into my new abode. I still have a lot of work to do to it, but it is now home.

Friday' Letters V.2

Dear Job, thank you oh so very much for providing me the opportunity to propser and hold a place in your company during this difficult time. Sincerely, recovering bank account.

Dear Government, I do not appreciate you taking basically half of my paycheck. Sincerely, needing a tax break.

Dear current apartment, it is very bittersweet packing you up. Thank goodness my roommmate/best friend already moved out or I would be crying every second thinking about all of the memories. Sincerely, moving on out.

Dear new apartment (AKA 'The Palace'), I am SO excited to move into you tomorrow. Words can't describe how excited. I'm going to have an ACTUAL porch and grass and flowers! AND a bay window in my room! AND a queen sized bed. However, I do not appreciate the bills that come along with you. Sincerely, mixed emotions.

Dear Lady A, Darius Rucker & Thompson Square, can't wait to hear your beautiful voices tomorrow night. Sincerely, country music lover.

Dear boyfriend, I'm sorry I was so crabby yesterday. But, in my defense you were driving me crazy with your antics (lol). I still love you lots and thank you for helping me move and pack. You're the best. Sincerely, couldn't live without you.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Post coming about my new apartment & the concert later this week!

Wedding Wednesday

So while I am not planning a wedding (or even engaged for that matter), I still LOVE weddings. I could look at wedding pictures all day. I remember joining The Knot when I was about 14/15 years old. I've always wanted to be a wedding planner/coordinator and dream about my wedding almost every day. I can't wait for that special moment when the person I want to marry gets down on one knee or I'm walking up the aisle seeing his face for the first time. All these meaningful things I can't wait for will forever hold a place in my heart.

I thought I would share some of my favorite wedding ideas that I have saved over the years or have found on Pinterest within the past year.

First comes the ring...

Then comes the engagement...

And the save the dates/invites...

Bride and groom...

Ceremony details...

Reception...

MUST take photos...

(My daddy works for Anheuser-Busch so this is a must!!)

I can't (but I can) wait for my big day one day in the far future :)
